Travel Soccer Tryouts for Fall 2012/Spring 2013 start May 29th WSA Travel teams comprise age-specific teams and play teams in and around southern NH. This competitive program is for players looking to make a commitment to a higher level of play. The program utilizes professional trainers from the UK. Teams play (and fees cover) both the fall and spring seasons; practice twice a week, games on weekends; and participate in two tournaments a year. Tryouts are at Griffin Park. To participate in tryouts, players must be registered with WSA, paid the early registration fee of $95*, wear soccer cleats and shin guards, and bring a ball and water. Sample uniforms will be available at check-in on an adjacent table. This is your opportunity to determine sizing should your child be selected. Later this summer, all parents will receive instructions for ordering the travel uniform, along with the designated number. For past players, every effort will be made so that your child retains his/her number, though exceptions may occur if a player is moved from one team to another. Previous players should only have to order if they need additional pieces.

We started our weekly Travel Clinics


Tuesday at 6pm-7pm will be for Travel players Playing at U8-U10 age

Wednesday at 6pm-7pm will be for Travel players Playing at U11 plus age

Thursday at 6pm-7pm will be for Travel players Goalkeeper specific training(all ages)

Sessions will be as follows by week:

Week 3: Dribbling-1 v 1 moves
Week 4: Shooting: power or placing the shot
Week 5: Turning with the ball - quick passing with speed
Week 6: defense and counter attack

Also, we will have the  Sunday am clinics for Travel players Playing U9 or above:

10:30-11:30 freestyle skills n moves

11:30-12:30 goalkeeping

Windham Soccer Association is sponsoring FREE soccer clinics on Sunday mornings at Griffin Park.  Starting Sunday May 6th, these 60 minute soccer sessions will focus on basic fundamentals and fun games to improve player skills.   Young players ages 6-8 years old will benefit most from these professional coached training sessions by Challenger.

Please have children wear appropriate clothing, shinguards and bring them plenty of water.  Coaches feel free to bring a notebook and get some ideas for the upcoming Fall 2012 season. Let's get a great showing.
